When I was growing up, I realized that in every grade, in every classroom, there was a bully, a trouble maker that the teacher was always trying isolate..the one individual who seemed to be ground-zero for the production of mayhem and foolishness (to quote Niecy Nash on Clean House, that wonderful TV show on Style Network). Niecy Nash is a comedian and she and her crew each week go into a house that’s an absolute mess, filthy, a horror, and try to drag out all the bad furnishings, the ridiculous decor and well, clean house. At the end of the show, the family is introduced to their new home that has been exorcised from their previous clutter demons. The house is pristine. Lemon fresh.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could “Clean House” emotionally in our own lives, clearing out those one or two very difficult people , who, through their mayhem, foolishness, nonsense and drama, can often aggravate us to the point of illness.
Do you have a difficult loved one who is driving you crazy? and quite literally making you sick? Letting me know in this blog how you have dealt with it. And please join me on www.Hayhouseradio.com, for this week’s radio show, entitled “Let it Be: How to Stay Well while Dealing with a Difficult Loved One”.
