6th chakra: “You’re always on my mind Obsessive Love and Depression”

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

I am obsessed with judge shows. I think I watch them because it feels like clinical training. Almost a good 75% of the cases are concerning relationship obsession.

Whether its Judge Judy, my favorite, Judge Hatchett (a close second),  Judge Karen on  Centric Channel/(previously BET incase you wondered where she went), or Judge Greg Mathis ( a little coy for my taste), the usual case involves a woman, lets call her Mary, who falls in love with a man, lets call him John. In love with her new Man, John, Mary gives and gives and gives to him, usually in the form of money, rent, car payments, bail, and even child support believe it or not.

John, the Prince,  of course takes all of the money but then John cheats.  Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned…and scorned women now sue their men.  Mary takes John to court to get him to pay her back for everything that she has given him because it was “a loan”. Of course John says it was all a gift, and why is Mary dragging him to court now? because she can’t let him go..because Mary “is obsessed” with him and can’t “let him go”  because he has moved onto another woman…. Another woman who is, incidentally giving, and giving in the form of money, rent, car payments, bail, etc.. and the cycle goes on and on.

Happy in love, miserable while alone. If your mood is dependent on being in a relationship, you are asking for a life of drama, a bipolar-esque dramafest of ups and down, ecstasy followed by despondency, all dependent on what someone else thinks of you. Does he( or she) love me? Do they love me not?

This weeks radio show is entitled “You’re always on my mind Obsessive Love and Depression”. Join us as we talk about all the Mind-Body and Medical Intuitive Solutions to Having  A healthy mood and balanced Loving Relationships. Please let me know in this blog your trials and tribulations with obsessive love.

4th chakra: Good Vibrations: Breast Cancer and the “Perpetual Cheerfulness Syndrome”

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

Tis The Season To be Jolly!! Do you feel jolly yet?  Not even a little bit of cheer? Maybe you are even a little crabby but who wants to hear it right? Our society tends to accept only positive emotions. We love experiencing bliss, optimism, enthusiasm, and.er..love. We adore anything and anyone  that makes us feel warm, relaxed and calm but what about the more negative, uncomfortable emotions, fear, anger, and sadness that can at time be life-saving? A baby screams with anger and fury if its needs aren’t being attended to in a timely manner, but we don’t judge the baby as being spiritually defective because he is grouchy. However, when your needs aren’t met in a relationship in a timely manner, do you think that getting fussy, crabby and angry is being negative and spiritually un-evolved? If you are eager to maintain a forever pleasant attitude  no matter what the circumstances,  beware!  You are increasing your chances toward 4th chakra problems including heart, lung and breast problems.  On the TV show, The Beverly Hill Billies,  even though Granny Clampett  used to try to get rid of her anger by singing and screaming a hymm, “I’ve got JOY, JOY, JOY, JOY, Joy in my Heart!!” , she still lived to a ripe old age without heart disease, stroke, breast cancer  or dementia because she always let everyone know when she was angry.  We know that women who hide their emotions behind a brave, stoic, pleasant face have an increased risk toward breast cancer. We can learn a lot about Mind-Body health from those old Beverly Hill Billies  re-runs on TV -LAND.

This week’s Hayhouse radio show is entitled, Good Vibrations: Breast Cancer and the “Perpetual  Cheerfulness Syndrome” and we are going to talk about the Mind-Body and Medical Intuitive solutions to maintaining breast health and a healthy balance of negative and positive  emotions.  Please use this blog to let me know how you have struggled to balance joy and anger, positive and negative emotions  to stay healthy.

3rd Chakra: Love Will Keep Us Together

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Before leaving for the Thanksgiving weekend I watched a Today Show food segment that has left an indelible imprint in my mind that will probably follow me through the holidays.

You know the segment….”How to keep a Your Weight Down for the Holidays by doing Blah Blah Blah”…The book author had an array of “bad food choices” and the “good food equivalents”. Some are just obvious, since who doesn’t know that dark meat has more fat that white meat. you would have to have been living in a Jenny Craig Cave not to know that. However, some were much more shocking. For example, did you know that a serving (whatever that is) of stuffing is equivalent to 4, yes “four” orders of french fries? This was the fact that is now in graved in my brain.

On the way to Thanksgiving Dinner, as we were in the long car ride, in between the usual “chit-chat” I made my public service announcement. Cheerfully, I proclaimed,” hey, did you know that the calories and fat grams in an order of stuffing is equivalent to FOUR ORDERS of FRENCH FRIES?” Needless to say, I almost had to walk the rest of the way as the other passengers were not wanting to either watch their weight on Thanksgiving. And later,  as I sat at the dinner table, I realized that  weight control during the holidays wasn’t going to be determined by controlling appetite and calorie selection. Aunt Zelda had her Cheese souffle that she was very, very proud of and she kept inquiring why you weren’t eating more of it. And I noticed that the more nervous people got, the more alcohol they drank and the more I wanted to hit the Italian cookie tray ( I don’t drink).

Its not easy to  maintain a healthy 3rd chakra for the holidays. Our 3rd chakra has to do with maintaining a healthy weight, freedom from addiction, dependency and co-dependency, not to mention digestion. This weeks radio show is entitled Love Will Keep Us Together: Weight Problems, Addiction, Dependency and Co-Dependency and we are going to get a jump on the weight and addiction pressures of the holidays. Please let me know in this blog how you have you have dealt with the 3rd chakra pressures of the holidays.
